前段时间凡尔赛文学火了，什么是凡尔赛？
大家都知道凡尔赛的意思，那么英语里有类似的词吗？
有，但不是 Versailles 。
在4月24日的《经济学人》中，Bartleby 这篇文章讲述了新的办公行为准则，其中一篇是 Dont humblebrag。
humblebrag = humble + brag，谦虚炫耀，暗戳炫耀，这种行为就是我们所说的凡尔赛。
humblebrag 既是名词，也是动词。
例句：
“I dont know why anybody would want my autograph!” he humblebragged.
我不知道为什么有人想我亲笔签名，他说。
She posted a classic humblebrag about spending $2,000 on a handbag “because Im so terrible with money”.
她发表了一篇经典的凡尔赛文学，说她花了2000美元买了一个手提包，因为她不在乎钱。
People make themselves look smart, humble-bragging about reading whats billed as one of the 20th centurys most difficult books.
人们让自己看起来很聪明，暗自炫耀自己读过这本20世纪最难懂的书之一。
At times, the book comes off like a long, rolling humblebrag. Many sections begin with variations on “When I was 29 years old and running for Congress … ” or “When I chaired the U.S. Ballistics Missile Threat Commission … .”
有时候，这本书给人一种漫长的凡尔赛文学的感觉。许多部分开始是花式凡尔赛：当我29岁的时候，我正在竞选国会议员……或者当我担任美国弹道导弹威胁委员会主席时.”。
