Multibody systems, such as the simple but classical slider-crank mechanism, multiple linkages mechanism, are very common in industry and our daily life. The dynamic modelling and simulation of multibody systems are keystones for development of robots, the next generation of automobiles, exoskeletons, etc. Although multibody system dynamics has been extensively studied in the last century, the dynamic modelling and simulation taking into consideration the imperfection of the system have not well investigated, and remain as an open problem.This project will focus on dynamic modelling of multibody systems by considering the clearance in the joints, and to predict the effect of clearance on the dynamic behavior of the system.

01名校长指导
The supervisor obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at National University of Singapore, and is now an assistant professor at University of Twente. His expertise includes but not limits to mechanics of materials, polymer composites, multiscale analysis, biomechanics and so on. He has extensive international research experience ranging from China and Singapore in Asia to Germany and the Netherlands in Europe.
Most of his papers have been published in JCR Q1 journals, which clearly shows his high research quality and reputation in the field of mechanical engineering.
