You may skip this part if you are familiar with TED.
TED represents Technology, Entertainment, Design. It originated from United States from 1984, provides a platform for public talks, and advocates “ideas worth spreading”.
TED conference is held in March in USA on yearly basis. It invites the outstanding professionals from all kinds of subject area to share their exploration and thinking around technology, society, and human, with 18 minutes talk.
TED conference is offered with limited number of tickets. While TED talks are offered online for free, which enables millions of people enjoy the TED talks although they may not be able to attend the on-site events.
TED talks enlightened and motivated a large group of audience with the stories, professionalism, and the depth of thinking.
Ken
Have you ever wondered which TED talk is the most popular?
Ken Robinsons “Do schools kill creativity?” is the one with 56M watches on TED official website alone.
Ken claimed, every child is a talent!
While the current education system, originated from early stage of industrialization, is trying to carve every child into a standard product with a workflow process. It cares neither the difference among individuals, no the creativity, and has far behind todays modern societys real needs.
His talk has triggered a profound discussion around education, and is the best example of “making a difference to the world with what you say”.
What is the true purpose of education?
With the development of TED, young speakers are also sharing their views on that stage.
One of the youngest teenager, Birke Baehr from USA, shared his thoughts, tries, advocates on organic farm.
TED spreads all over the world in a really fast pattern and has accumulated a large number of “fans” who aspire for a local TED event.
TEDx was introduced in 2009 to autherize TED fans to organize local TED-like event.

Why TEDx for teenagers
As we always say, if the youngsters are strong, then the nation is no doubt strong.
Todays youngster is the corner stone for tomorrows society.
Can we today in 2019 estimate how the society will look like in 2029?
Can “we” back in 2009 imagine “we” in 2019 can pay without wallet, take bus without IC card? Can they believe that the robot “Sophia”, looks just like a real person, and has got the citizenship?
The past “we” cannot. The today “we” cannot too.
What we can do for our next generation, is to help them get better prepared for that unknown world.
Among all the skills that matter, critical thinking and clear expressing are defintely among the ones that matter the most.
Education is to get them prepared for the unknown future, and make the most of it.
– Ken Robinson
We have a simple wish.
We want to setup a stage for sharing, for those youngsters with brilliant thoughts, fantastic experiences, who is willing to share , to light up the world with sparks in their mind.
We want to develop a community for more youngsters to hearfrom those of their same age, and get enlightened and encouraged for posivite changes withidea collisions.
We want to improve the awareness of “in-depth thinking, free expressing, speaking up” among wider range of parents and youngsters.
We wish this event to bepurelyfor child, with them to be the speakers, audience, and even the organizers!
We wish this event to be open, not limited to one place, one school, or even one group, but encouraging anyone with ideas and speaking skills, and willing to share, to share.
We wish this event to be continuously conducted, to offer opporutnities to speak up, and to offer talks of quality.
And that, my friends, is how we can make a difference. One kid at a time.
– Birke Baehr
Even if there is only one single child who has developed from, benefited from, actioned upon our event, we will consider it a great success and worthwhile continue.
