7月12日，Summer School项目已进入第四天，孩子们在课堂上的表现越来越积极。他们可以快乐地融入教学，无论是理论课还是实验课。今天小编也和同学们一起参加了实验课，下面就跟着小编来看看同学们的精彩表现吧。
实验科学-简单设备课程，David Moss 让学生在学校操场上通过有趣的练习，了解冲天火箭的使用和弹射原理，同时，学生们也学会了影响火箭飞行的高度和距离的因素。
通过自己的努力探索结果，一定会让这些学生记住。
帅气的Coffey昨天，老师给学生们发布了一项具有挑战性的任务—制作飞行距离最远的火箭！
任务一发布，孩子们就立即开始思考：如何让火箭成为宇宙中的旅行冠军？有些人用吸管作为火箭，有些人用冰淇淋棍作为火箭，有些人用纸作为火箭……方法多样。
经过学生们的努力，气球火箭终于在今天上午成功制作。Coffey老师让孩子们展示结果，测量他们的飞行距离。
学生们一个接一个地拿出他们的小火箭。在惊喜的欢呼声中，学生们愉快地学习了火箭的飞行原理和气球的反冲原理。

——语言文学7.11中文感受
今天是我们体验全英语教学的第三天，这几天我感觉到了明显的进步，从一开始的Mrs.Reicardt我听不懂几句话，需要老师翻译。到目前为止，我能理解大部分。进步是显而易见的，当然，这也离不开老师的努力，Mrs.Reicardt当我们听不懂的时候，尽量放慢语速，或者用更容易理解的单词。
在课堂上，我也发现美国的课堂并不像我们想象的那么自由和容易。但在自由和轻松中，又有严厉和严肃。原来我以为在美国的课堂上，有什么可以随时说，也可以自己讨论。现在我发现事实并非如此。美式课也很严格。如果我们私下小声讨论，老师会立即禁止，让我们保持安静。
老师在课堂上讲了一点知识后，给了我们很多时间一起交谈。在我们自己学习的过程中，知识在我脑海中的印象会更加牢固。
根据我们的兴趣，老师会尊重我们的意见。而且老师对我们的问题也很重。当时Mrs.Reicardt我们问美国同龄的学生一些问题，认为老师真的想知道我们对什么很好奇？没想到在今天的课上，老师仔细整理了美国同学发回来的答案，给了我们详细的解释，让我们对她有了更好的了解。
时间也从老师幽默的语言中度过得很快。似乎一天的课程又结束了。我们学到了很多俚语和新单词。我期待着明天继续学习有趣的俚语，还是学习什么意想不到的知识？
物理-漫游太空

Today, we studied about statistic and rockets.
In the morning, we studied about statistic. Though we have already learnt about statistic yesterday, there’s still many questions. We calculated the standard deviation of 25 data. Yesterday we made paper gliders and then we tested them to find out how far can them fly. We have 25 planes so there are 25 data. Because the data are all very large, so it is difficult to calculate the number. This was yesterday’s homework, but everybody got a different number. So it took us an hour to calculate the number together.
First, our teacher let us to calculate the number by ourselves. Then, about 30 minutes later, we told the teacher the number we got. However, we still got different numbers. Then, the teacher calculated it again and find out that the standard deviation is around four hundred, but must of us got it way far from four hundred. Somebody even got the number of seven hundred.
In the afternoon, we designed our own rockets and we are going to build it tomorrow. The rocket is made of balloons and the competition is about who’s rocket can” fly farer”. Our rockets don’t need to really fly to the sky. Instead of that, our rocket is going to be attached to a string and move forward.
We also learnt Newton’s Laws and they are very interesting. I did not even hear about it before and now I know it. I’m very excited.
Before leaving school, we started to build the rocket and we need it to be stable or as my friend say” as steady as an old dog.” While we were filling the chart, we have to write our names on. My friend was writing, but he didn’t write on any of our name. He wrote “Van Darkholme”. He told the teacher that the person is a philosopher. Kind of weird.
Well, I’m had good time studying in the class. Hope the rocket will be nice.
